Football Archive Books

lfc archiveThese fantastic football archives make an great gift for any footy mad fan!

Available for a wide range of teams, each archive is packed with old newspaper reports. For instance, the Liverpool Archive contains coverage from 1906 when the team were the old Division 1 champions. Coverage goes through the decades and includes the 2008/09 season.

A really gift that will be treasured for many years to come.

Fruit Ball Bowls

fruit ballLook closely at this squashed basket ball. Spot anything? Well, it’s not a ball it’s a ceramic fruit bowl or fruit ball as they’ve been called.

Novel isn’t it? I read about them in one of the Sunday papers where they pictured one full of fresh fruit. Obviously flat-bottomed so they can’t roll off the kitchen worktop, fruit balls come in a choice of either a squashed basketball (pictured) and a squashed, black and white football.

These are great for sports mad blokes and of course you could just as easily fill them up with:

  • crisps
  • snacks
  • keys
  • golfballs and tees
  • boot studs
  • pens
  • sweets

Firebox have got them  but indicate that they expect this product to sell out pretty darn quick.

Football Number 1 Fan Figures

liverpool no 1 fanThese No 1 Fan Figures are an all-singing, all-dancing must have for die-hard football fan.

As featured on BBC’s Something for the Weekend and in magazines Zoo (July 09) and Match of the Day (September 2009), there are four number one fan figures for Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United. It’s not something that most people will want to collect though …there won’t be many Liverpool fans after the Man United fan figure I guess!

Each character sings five songs from the terrace that all fans will recognise and shakes his bootie and waves his flag whilst he’s doing it. All four figures are officially licensed products. Available from Menkind where you can watch a video of the figures in action. Requires 3 AAA batteries.

Subbuteo Cufflinks

subbuteo cufflinksOkay, lets face it, cufflinks are normally pretty boring. Lots of chaps wear them but they’re boring …or they used to be.

These fab Subbuteo cufflinks make a great novelty gift for any football mad man in the family. These are the official deal, branded with the iconic Subbuteo logo and come presented in a smart presentation box. Bound to be a great topic of conversation around the meeting room table.
