Banana Guard

banana guardRight, you, at the back. Yes you, stop sniggering this instant!

Despite what you might be thinking, this isn’t just a great novelty gift idea, it’s a very practical and inexpensive plastic banana guard. John Lewis sell them so it’s all above board!

Designed by a Canadian ER doctor, who evidently suffered from squashed banana syndrome, this novel piece of bright yellow, curvy plastic offers a safe home for your banana. It’ll take bananas off all sizes and keep them safe, secure and ventilated until munchtime. It’ll go in the dishwasher too :)

More Tea Vicar Teapot

more-tea-vicarTea …best drink of the day!

And it’ll be even more comforting when brewed in and poured from this fab More Tea Vicar teapot. It’s a proper, English creamware teapot and made by that clever company that makes the yummy mummy mug. They also make a teabag tidy with the phrase Tea and Sympathy too :)

Again, pop over to John Lewis for this family gift.

Chef'n Salt and Pepper Rabbits

salt pepper ballsThese are a funny pair. If you haven’t guessed yet they are salt and pepper mills in the shape of rabbits …obvious now I know!

Imagine a rabbit’s head: the “face” is the container while the “ears” are a soft-grip grinding mechanism which you sqeeze to grind the salt or pepper – only one hand needed!

One thing you’ve got to agree on is who’s who? Is Flopsy the salt and Mopsy the pepper or is it the other way around?

These little kitchen bunnies have the added benefit of being magnetic so they can attach to a fridge or other magnetic surface. Now who wouldn’t like to receive these two chaps as a fab novelty gift? Go on …visit John Lewis and treat someone you love to a pair.
