I’m absolutely hopeless at wrapping gifts! Flat, square things like books and DVDs I can sort of manage, but anything other than that and I’m in big trouble. You do not want to see me wrap a bottle of wine or a mug …the end result isn’t pretty.

My own kids have been mad on these plastic characters called Go Go Crazybones …everyone has been collecting them at school. Can’t say I see the attraction myself, but apparently they’re really, really good dad!

I spotted this great little Climbatron robot toy in the Science Museum shop. This cheap (only £8) little robotic toy defies gravity to walk up glass or other smooth surfaces, using its powerful suction feet. Get two and race them against each other on the patio window!
